TR Building and Remodeling recently helped us with a year long extensive remodel of our house on a pond. We did not want to tear down the house as we had significant landscaping and extensive rock walls that we wanted to preserve. We had an idea of what we wanted to do and did not want to go the traditional route of hiring an architect who would dictate a particular plan based on his assessment. Todd and Rick were patient and helped use their expertise to make our idea happen. I found them to be detail oriented, knowledgeable and organized. Whenever I had a question, they could articulate a simple to understand, well informed answer. From there, the project was managed on a daily basis by Marty and we had useful weekly meetings to cover what was being worked on and to tackle open issues. TR managed the sub contractors well and kept the site safe and clean. Todd and Rick were always responsive and available to discuss the project. Whenever there was an issue, they would hit it straight on and we always ended with a fair resolution. We are inexperienced at doing renovations and there were many decisions for us to make in a short period of time. Rick helped us organize this process and made it more manageable to decrease the stress. The team was very creative in solutions and execution of elements that we wanted like building an indoor rock wall. The project was on time and on budget, not an easy feat considering the scope of the project. The quality of the work is excellent. They perform to a very high standard. Often time if an issue arose, they were correcting it before we even said anything. When they finished the job, the clean up job was excellent with very little debris. At the end, we are very happy with the end product and it suits us well. We confidently recommend TR Built.

If I could give a 10 star rating, I would! I cannot speak more highly of TR as a design-build firm. Rick and Todd are honest, trustworthy & upfront. Most contractors will tell you anything to get the job, but TR’s estimates & timelines were dead-on AND they finished our large renovation project on time & on budget — which is unheard of. Also, a lot of architects will create incredible, over-the-top plans, but they have no interest in making them affordable to build. With TR, they knew my budget & were able to design/plan/build accordingly, accurately & beautifully. Many friends have been wooed by elaborate architects‘ plans & then completely deflated when they went to bid on contractors and found their projects to be completely unaffordable – that simply won’t happen with TR. Additionally, Rick & Todd are taste-makers and perfectionists; therefore, won’t let any sloppy work slide. There is no higher bar - seriously.

Long story short: With TR, you get what you pay for (and more); plus, you will come in on-budget, on-time and without any headaches. Other firms will revise their low-ball estimates as soon as they get going. I would do business with TR again in a heartbeat.
