If you are looking for a boat slip in Sebastian, FL, be careful selecting this marina. The basic marina is acceptable, however, their policies are NOT.
First, the marina contract is written completely one-sided, in favor of the marina and not for the boat owner! For example, the marina can make almost every decision for your boat, when to haul your boat and when to return it to the water and you have no say and are not held responsible. If you like to use your boat in the summer time, this a big problem because it is hurricane season.

In my case, hurrricane Isaias was scheduled to arrive the Sebastian area on August 2, 2020. The marina hauled all of the boats and secured them properly with stands and ropes (good job)! However, returning the boats to the water has become a problem. As of today, it has been almost two weeks after the storm had past and the marina management tefuses to return my boat to the slip. Their reasoning is that there is a possibility of another storm, which may be forming, two thousand (2,000) miles away. At this rate, it appears that they will wait until hurricane season is over before all boats will be returned to the water.

In my case, I have a buyer for my boat, in which I had informed the management before the hurricane. While selecting the location for each boat on the marina property, they had chosen to place my boat at the very back of the marina so it became impossible to deliver the boat to the buyer.

This leaves the question, "Why would they act in this manner?"
The past ten (10) days has been clear and sunny without wind!

After disussing the issue with the marina management, their solution to the probllem is to have the buyer and his crew return to their country of residence and wait until the management of the marina approves their return.

From the pictures included, you can see the "Travel Lift" sits idle and the moored boat patiently await the end of hurricane season.

Top notch operation
Experienced team and it's reflected on the yard.
There's " yacht clubs" and working yards ,
Rarely will you find a Boatyard that does both well.
The grounds are beautiful
Immaculate bathrooms
For cruisers set a waypoint
You won't be disappointed.

Had a starting problem that happened to present itself after stopping for diesel on our trek north last Spring. Despite the fact it was late Good Friday and a holiday weekend Doug got us settled into a slip and had his crew ready to go first thing Monday morning. I told him I didn't mind waiting for a job done right, and they fulfilled that promise. Diagnosed and fixed our intermittent starting problem and some other issues that had eluded previous marina mechanics. Boat's starting and electrical have been great since then, plan to stop there next trip South for some planned upgrades.

It is a really nice place, with nice people, but it is best suited for low draft maneuveable powerboats, it is not suitable for a sailboat with a keel deeper than approx 3 feet and even at that, with any kind of breeze, there are very tight quarters in that marina, so much so that if you loose control and need to make a quick spin to try again you will most likely hit another boat. If you can turn in your own length, which most sailboats cannot do, you might be okay. Otherwise give it a pass.
