Earlier this year my two brothers and I, along with the Trustee of my stepmothers estate, needed to sell our Rosemead, Ca. house. This house had been owned by the family since it was built in 1928.

A friend had recommended Keren Melendez as a capable, honest and hardworking realtor. That was our lucky day. My two brothers live out of state and I live 300 miles away. Before we brothers were able to travel to Rosemead, Keren had already visited the property and given us her impression of it’s condition and had a strategic plan for its marketing.

Within a day of our arrival Keren met with us. During this meeting Keren educated us on current market conditions, provided several options going forward and answered all of our questions. By the end of this first meeting we honestly felt we were part of a team along with Keren and her group of key associates.

From the start, Keren’s mantra was communication. We all met once more in the six days we were in the area and after that communicated several times every day by either emails, texts, or conference calls. Amazingly, it soon became obvious that Keren was literally working “around the clock” on this project.

Prior to the first open house showing, an online flyer for the property began to bring in offers from interested buyers. After the showing Keren sent each of us a spreadsheet showing the status of each offer. After a group discussion of the pros and cons of the several offers, we made counter offers following Keren’s recommendations.

In no time at all we entered into a short escrow with a buyer offering well over our original asking price.
