For the past four months my service has been terrible. Internet goes out, you call on hold 45mins or longer tells me we will reset modem if it doesn't come back on call back in 25 min. I've had a tech come out like three times in the past 2 months they replace stuff ,but that doesn't help. You would think that they would try and keep their customers. They have no problem taking your money. Highly dissatisfied.

Mediacom lied about servicing my neighborhood. Took payment from me for service then conveniently determined that they did not actually service my neighborhood. I promptly returned the hardware so I could get a refund. Was told 72 hours. It’s been weeks. When I call to find out why I haven’t been refunded, SURPRISE! There’s no option to actually talk to anybody. It’s all automated and there’s no way to speak to an actual human. Liars and thieves. Do not use this service as there is no means of recourse when they scam you out of your money.

How about instead of their automated response to please email them, they just do better?

Well, our bill is now $115 for just internet. When I called, they said our 2 year promotion was up and then our 3 year promotion is up. A whole year passed in a month Humm. When I asked if this is how they retained loyal customers, I was told, Yes ma'am. this is how our promotions work and they don't have any current promotions to offer me. Same thing they told me last time.

Mediacom is almost the worst. My only other option is AT&T, and they are just a little worse than Mediacom. After paying $280 a month for a bunch of channels we don't need just to get the channels we want, we finally canceled cable and went with YouTube TV. We love YouTube TV, but we need internet. We were paying about $65 a month for internet but are now paying $89. For what? Im not sure. Faster speeds? No. Reliable service? No. (It goes out a lot.) They don't keep their customers informed. They very least they can do is send an email saying, "Your bill is going up to this amount because..." They don't do that. When you sign on to pay your bill, you see the increase with no explanation. We've been customers with them for close to 10 years. So much for good service for their loyal customers.

Never had a company fail this badly to meet the most basic expectations for service. Why am I paying for internet that can’t be used because it’s always out. This is my first ever Google review that’s how unsatisfied I am, but it is my only option for service at the moment.

Mediacom took my payment to begin service, then canceled the appointment without notifying me. I requested a refund and they started it would be issued. They never issued the refund. I now must go through my bank to be refunded the fee for services they did not provide.

I was having trouble with low data rates in apr 2023. So they came out and installed a temporary line above ground and across driveway. A new unground cable was installed approximately 3 weeks after that.
I have called multiple times and chatted with support they said they cannot do much. I found out (SRO
Service request order has now been canceled on 2 different occasions.
If I do not call back they do not automatically put one in. My last SRO was canceled on oct. 7 not sure why. So from my understanding if the SRO gets canceled you go back to the bottom of the list. So now I wait. My internet goes out 3-5 times a day maybe because cable in yard has been ran over so many times it is flat. I really am not sure what to do next. I am totally frustrated because of the service and I still have to pay for top notch service even if you don't get it.

I’d give zero stars if possible. This company is absolutely garbage. Frequent service outages for no reason. Provided router needs to be unplugged and reset DAILY if not MULTIPLE TIMES A DAY. Trash customer service because the company knows most people have limited options for service. If you have the option to use anyone else, do so.

Mediacom is just terrible. Prices increasing constantly. "Upgrading" my data allowances and download speeds, but it's never reflected on the speed tests I've done. And it's constantly going out multiple times a day. Sadly, they're the only option for actual high speed internet on my street because ATT fiber isn't here yet. But they're very close, and it'll be this year and I'm canceling as soon as that happens.
