Look no further for an amazing photographer! Taffy of Mango Portraits was a joy to deal with at every step of the process - from booking the session long distance, to arranging for my make-up for the session, to the thoughtful staging of every single shot. We literally ended up with so many incredible images I am struggling to narrow the choices for printing. Not only did she make my niece and I both feel completely comfortable, but was totally excepting of any of my quirky suggestions, and there are so many beautiful pictures that we cannot choose our favorite. I must admit I've been spoiled from my interaction with other local photographers. When my favorite photographer was not available for my family photo shoot, I had to take to Google to find a photographer to capture the momentus occasion of my brother coming from out of state for the first time in 5 years.
I chose Mango Portraits (also called Ennovative Creative) from their positive Google reviews and the nice phone conversation I had with Taffy. I booked this photo session TWO MONTHS in advance.
Up until the day before the photo session, I received no confirmation. This worried me, so I reached out. After going through their phone system, I finally got confirmation. The 14 members of my family gathered (we were dressed & ready to go), when I got the text (not even a phone call!) 30 minutes ahead of time maybe we should cancel due to weather. The weather had cleared at the photo shoot location and I told them no, we were ready. The photographer shows up 30 minutes LATE and the worst part... it wasn't Taffy. I believe it was her daughter.
Our photographer did not know how to position our group, how to direct us... she basically showed up and snapped the same quality photos I could have taken with my smartphone.
After the photo proofs were sent and my dissatisfaction communicated, Taffy announced she had missed the photoshoot due to a household move she had planned and just sent someone else instead. She offered to reshoot but an unexpected plane flight reschedule prevented that.
What I ended up with were highly photoshopped and still unacceptable photos... not nearly the quality I'm used to from other local photographers. She even tried to charge me full price! I was able to negotiation her down a bit. I went ahead and approved/purchased the photos as I had no choice- my brother and his family aren't visiting for most likely another 5-10 years. I wanted something to commemorate our special time together and didn't want a complete wasted effort... as we had all purchased special clothes for the occasion and taken time out to get this photo shoot done.
I WOULD NOT recommend this photographer. Her customer service skills are very much lacking and had no empathy whatsoever.

The photographer was 30 minutes late. She didn't know what she was doing and didn't give any direction. The photos did not turn out well especially of my husband my boys and myself. This was the first time in years we have had a family photo done and none of them were worth getting printed. We were visiting from Colorado and were not able to get them redone because we had to catch our flight back home. We are very disappointed.
