My kids have been here since their opening year, and we've loved everything about it, never any issues. The children are respectful and the staff is awesome. They put on fantastic shows each year. They've grown a little larger over the years but the newcomers have been a great audition to the originals there. They've always had uniforms, so no big changes when volusia created the county wide policy for uniforms.

i went here from 6-8th grade, my middle school years. I can honestly say it made my middle school experience horrible. I’m now in high school but i advise parents to not send their kids here. The administration does not care about students who are getting bullied, they would rather blame the student for it. Some of the staff is kind, but the majority is not, and has never been accepting or loving of the students attending and only care about the reputation.

This place is ridiculous. My niece attends the school, and from my personal interactions with her as well as the attitudes exhibited by the staff (on the occasions I've had to pick her up), I can ascertain the following: nothing there is handled appropriately, the staff is filled with judgmental and non-progressive hacks, and the "guidance counselors" are inexperienced/unqualified/almost abusive. If it wouldn't be more damaging to her education to move her than keep her in place, I'd be having more of a conversation with her parents about the potentiality of moving her. Ivy Hawn, if you're reading this and choose to ignore all but one part of this review, please focus on the portion that identifies the issue with your guidance counselors and correct it--guidance counselor offices should be safe places, not scary or insulting or damaging to the psyche of a child. Thanks.

Absolutely horrible. I can assure you that this is one of the most awful schools I have ever been to. None of the staff members take any harmful issues seriously, but instead, scold at the students because they’re ruining their reputation. If someone is being bullied, harassed, or insulted in any way, the staff will simply sweep it under the rug and pretend it never happened in order to sustain a ‘good reputation’ and get their money. They will never respond to any sort of situation to ever come, and if you even try to get them to pay attention to a serious issue, only more pain will come your way. I literally had to go to therapy for a year because of one of the despicable teachers that the school refused to get rid of. Please, for the sake of your own sanity, do not give in to Ivy Hawn’s ‘good reputation’ and help stop this dumpster of an educational environment.

My children have been here since it opened. I have nothing but good to say. Dr Kelly she bent over backwards to accommodate my oldest so he could attend this school as he struggles academically. He flourished in this school! My youngest atill goes here and he is loving it as well. I have always been able to speak to teachers, administartion staff or principles with any matters I may have with no negative results. This school has been a blessing!

The elementary school coach, Coach Bigham, doesn’t care about the kids at all. And most of the teachers pick favorites and yell at you for doing nothing. They also make you do a lot of IXLs which are literally devils.

The Principal at this school has no interest in the children, nor does the Assistant Principal! She does not follow up with anything and she does not handle threatening problems. I would never send my child back to this horrible tin box, under Dr. Kelly!
