My sister and I have been in love with the rich history and the artwork of the Highwaymen forever. We finally got to attend our first Highwaymen art show/exhibit when they had it in Boynton Beach. I bought 2 pieces as did my sister. Completely hooked I came back for more today in West Palm only this time I brought my son in law who is now hooked by the way. What gracious hosts Roderick Hair and his mother Doretha Hair Truesdell are! We bought some more artwork today and will be back for more in the future. The artwork is absolutely stunning but getting to meet and talk to these talented artists is priceless! Thank you for everything!!

My husband and I took the Edgartown Tour on October 27 of this year, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our first high point of the tour was when we stopped to listen to Zora Neale Hurston talk about her life. Suspending reality, we felt like we were listening to Zora herself. We later learned that the talented reenactor was Doretha Truesdell. The second high point was upon meeting her son, Roderick Hair. He was gracious and kind. We were moved to tell him about our first experience with the Highwaymen over 50 years ago. Some of these talented gentlemen had come to my husband's place of business, offering to sell their paintings for $20. We were young and had only been married a few years, but the babies had come quickly. By that time we had three to feed. We could not afford one of those lovely paintings, which I've regretted to this day. You could have knocked us over with a feather when Roderick offered to sell us one of his paintings for that long-ago price! Talk about generous! We hope to reconnect with him some day and take him up on his generous offer.

My sister and I were so blessed to meet Roderick Hair and his mum Doretha Hair Truesdell at an art event about The Highwaymen in Maitland Florida. The atmosphere was inviting and welcoming.
The room was filled from top to bottom with stunning vibrant art. My sister bought a piece of art from Roderick, I bought a piece from Doretha. They took the time to personally sign the art on the back. Everything was beautifully displayed. They are such loving souls in addition to being so incredibly talented and creative! If you have the opportunity to see their art, I strongly encourage it!. You will be overwhelmed by the beauty! It was a privilege to meet them.
It's a privilege to have their art in our homes!
