Like most accounting firms, the time to file a return is often the time of year you submit your return information and the comprehensiveness of the information packet.

Kimeth and his team are outstanding. They have helped me solve several tax issues due to their up to date knowledge. I got a letter form the IRS saying I owed more money, and when we responded with details and our defense, Gardner and Thomas did an updated Schedule A last fall, and charged us a reasonable amount. As a result, the IRS owed us money!!

I’m writing this review because after filing for the past couple years with Gardner Thomas, I finally went with another firm and realized it’s not normal for tax preparation to be this sloppy and unprofessional.

These guys are extremely unresponsive, nickel and dime for everything, and leave everything to the last minute.

My last straw was last year, when as usual they ghosted me for months and then sent me my return right before the deadline, rushing me to review and sign.

It wasn’t until after that I had more time to look and realized they had made a mistake, completely ignoring a form I had clearly labeled and submitted.

Not only did I have to deal with the headache but they were more than happy to send me a bill for several hundred dollars to fix the mistake they made.

Please save yourself the trouble and find literally anyone else.

This firm was the worst experience of any accounting firm that I dealt with after being in business for 40+ years. If looking for an accounting firm I would steer clear of this one. I had my information to this firm to do my taxes in their office in early February so it would be done on time. Taxes were done finally in October..An extension was filed without my knowledge and only after countless unanswered phone calls I finally got a call saying an extension had been filed weeks after the deadline. This was after April 15, 2023. Taxes were not done until October and I am still holding a notice saying I owe 1,200.00 in back penalties. You stated someone would handle this and its been crickets once again. Here we are February 2024 and still nothing from the IRS. Other examples include the non-communication that was continuously especially not answering the phone at your main office. No calls back when you leave a message. I just wanted a time line that was all. Another thing was, Being passed along to another CPA when I had started with Thomas, no communication about that. According to your google reviews there are a lot of unhappy customers and this has been a common experience. I guess you have enough business the little guys don't matter. Good riddance.

We got put on the back burner for months and months. We went in 2 months before tax day to file...they didn’t get them done and were unresponsive requiring several phone calls just to get a response, then the response was always from the assistant who “didn’t know” The answers to any of our questions and she kept telling us they needed additional reviewing. Finally September the following year, we get an in person meeting to discuss our tax situation. I had to request they not charge me the $350.00 for they extension THEY filed. They charged us $795.00 for this terrible service. And took off the $350 as a “curtesy”.

Like all accounting firms tax season takes a little longer for a response but they have always exceeded my expectations.

They have not been able to prepare my 2020 return and will not tell me why they will not finish it or return my documents! Called the police to try to get my Documents and an Filing a Lawsuit Against them!
HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After having my attorney contact them they still have been unable to return my documents! No apology for loosing my documents or not filing my return, They treated me as though I had done somthing wrong by requesting my Return and documents.
