Can't say enough good things about Depict. The owners Jade and Patricia are just the most lovely and they have a stellar crew of employees. They care, they pick up the phone, they have an all inclusive (massive) shop for all your fabricating and graphic needs. One stop shop conveniently placed in the heart of LA. Catch Cinema

Depict is the best, plain and simple. I’ve used them for feature work and everything they created for me was exactly what I wanted. You’d be an insane person not to hire them out. The shop is gorgeous, the space is clean, and the people are friendly. Oh and the location has parking for days, a perfect view of downtown from the roof, huge psych-wall, they can CNC, 3D print, weld, build, or otherwise fabricate anything your heart desires. I love them and will be going back soon.

First off, this facility is a wood shop with a loading dock- it is not a filming location. They will take your money and say it is a filming location- but recording sound here is completely out of the question. They refused to stop driving forklifts, using ratchet guns, and palm sanders. I have been filming all over LA for the last ten years- this location is now in my top 3 worst locations to film in LA.

Because this is some kind of cabinetry shop, they have an exaggerated set of insurance requirements that stipulate that your filming insurance certificates include workers-compensation (regardless if you don't have any payroll employees). This came to a head after the production I worked on all arrived and they refused to allow anyone into the building without either providing the workers-comp certificate or the production paying them an additional 5000$.

As far as the staff, later in the day I watched an employee of Depict close the access gate and lock me out between shots. When I went to their office to get back into the building- I was instructed to find someone on the crew to let me in. This is when it became very clear that they were actively going out of their way to be as unaccommodating as possible to a film crew they had paid to be there, met the insurance requirements, etc.

This facility may very well be a great place to have your kitchen cabinets made, but as a filming location- don't waste your time, money, or patience.

Get Hooked Crane Service

Jade and his crew were great. We assisted them in the production of a music video and hope to work with them again in the future. These guys are pros. No corners cut. Very nice fabrication. We made an old cadi fly and they made sure it didn't come crashing down. Worked out great.

One of the best in the business. Every job I hire them on, I become the hero on set. Professional, innovative and easy to work with. Amazing crew. Depict is simply bad ass.
