My husband and I worked with Leslie and her office to finalize two adoptions. We adopted one child in 2022 and another in 2024. Leslie was easy to contact and communicated readily. Her paralegals Dale in 2022 and Sandy in 2024 were AMAZING! Leslie's office staff emailed over all final copies of everything promptly following the adoption hearings. Ok so I know better than anyone how lawyers can get a bad rep. Let me tell you some of the details of my experience with Leslie Cushner and her law firm. 1st this woman is the MOST responsible, respectable, and reasonable person/professional I have ever met. 2nd follow her lead no matter what. She will show you how your case should be and will be handled in the BEST way it can be. 3rd TRUST her word and her process. Leslie was recommended by a friend that had used her for a divorce so naturally that was my first choice when I was in the same situation. Leslie is a fantastic advocate and an exceptional human being. Leslie cut her teeth in the courtroom and knows exactly what she's doing. I met with Leslie in early May regarding custody of my grandson. I had been advised by a Judge that a prior Order stood and Leslie disagreed, and promised to get clarification from the Judge the following week. Since that time I have called many many times and emailed with only one call back from a paralegal but I still have no answer. I am highly disappointed with her not following through with the promise to obtain clarification for me. I feel as if I should at least have my consultation fee refunded if she will no respond to my calls or messages.
