I was extremely nervous about coming here today for traffic court . As an African American male i usually don’t have a pleasant experience when it comes to the judicial system . I would like to say that today was different . Everyone from the front door staff to judge was extremely nice . Everyone spoke to you if they walked passed . Judge shalonda in room 205 was also very pleasant and fair ! Shout out to the prosecutor as well for practicing fairness . Clayton county court really impressed me today , thank you all so much !

The main ladies at the door and window of the jury duty room were rude. Would not answer questions. And if they did they were snarky remarks. This is my first time doing jury duty and I didn’t know that they would not feed us. I asked the lady at the door my questions about food, me she replied with didn’t your mom cook you something (I’m 34 but I look really young). I replied with my mother is dead. She died 10/5/2018 of kidney failure, so no ma’am my mom did not cook me lunch. This pissed me off. Also security asked me to open my robe the second time I came into the building. I am a Muslim woman and that made me uncomfortable. Like why didn’t u ask me this the 1st time I came in? If I had a bomb it’s already inside if this is my second time coming in. The attitudes in here are stank. And the empathy and intelligence is low.

Don't bother calling because they're too busy..or lazy to pick up the phone. Days and days of calling with no luck.
If you take time out of your day to go in person have at least 45+ minutes to wait in a room full of people due to the slow service. Understaffed and no customer service, but what do we really expect with Clayton County.

I have been trying to get a copy of my marriage certificate since before Thanksgiving. The week after I was told a judge had to sign off for it. The judge was off the week after Thanksgiving. Now this Monday I was told the the marriage date I requested was wrong and they were sending me a letter. Today is Dec 8. I have not received anything from Clayton County including a 10 dollar money order. I am retiring as of Dec 23 and my meeting with ssa is Monday dec12 and I need this info. How incompetent can you be.

Id give 0 stars if I could. Getting in touch with the clerks office is impossible. Please do better! We are trying to do our jobs but we can't when you guys dont pick up the phone!! Filings not getting accepted, etc.

Dont bother to call if you missed court they dont answer. They want to see us in jail. Yall can send court dATES OUT IN A HEART BEAT BUT CANT PICKUP THE PHONE .

Went to courthouse to take care of a rental deed and being pregnant I choose not to walk through the x-ray device so I asked for a pat down just as I do at the airports and other courthouses.

The VERY rude and unprofessional "security" officers told me NO oh well and to come back with a doctors note. After a quick phone call the the Sheriff onsite, I was able to come back in the building and have a pat down so THANK YOU CC Sheriff and to the security officers who opt to NOT do their job, I hope you are looking for a new one soon!
