The most unconcerned school system to deal with. They completely disregard parental concerns about their child’s education, teachers are lackadaisical, and just passing students along without addressing the real issue. They care about numbers that equates to monetary value for the school.

There's a lot of good people in Clayton County public schools. Not all schools are the same, but a lot of them are great. I went as a kid, and now my kids attend. They've had some rough spots in between when losing accreditation, but luckily, that was after my school days and before my children started. For the most part, there's a lot of love and passion from some good and honest teachers, principals, and staff

Who is really running this place it's been three weeks. I have just been given the run around. I'm trying to register my kids in clayton county since we moved😒😒. The lady asked for some simple documents I gave them to her going on 3 weeks. Every time I call, it's a response, I will check and email you. Still waiting on this so call email I asked to speak to someone different, and the secretary transfered me to the same person desk 🙃. I am trying to do the school transfer while the dates are presently open, but at this rate, do I even really want my kids in Clayton County 🤷‍♀️🤔 # system is a joke

We Love our Clayton County Teachers!

My son has attended Clayton County Public Schools since Kindergarten. My husband and I are very happy with our son's education. He was awarded first place in the science fair his third thru fifth grade school years. He was also selected to attend the second best STEM Academy in the state of Georgia and has won numerous awards in science, including placing at the state science fair in Athens, Georgia. Clayton County schools are preparing my son to be globally competitive.

Clayton County teachers are the best and our principals are outstanding.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Let me start by saying, I went to Clayton county schools, so I can see the drastic change. The schools in Clayton county are AWFUL! The teacher's are in the classrooms cursing like sailors. Half of the teacher's don't care, they are just there to draw a paycheck. I have had several teacher's tell me they wouldn't let their kids attend a Clayton county school, yet they teach there. The policy as far as the dress code is not at all specific, yet you're constantly harassed about what your child can and can't wear. They need to revamp the entire system, and they need to start by getting new rid of the Superintendent, staff at the board of education, and several, if not all of the staff at Morrow Middle School. Parent's, if you can get your child in school in another county, please do so. I've transferred my job and will be moving in another week or two just so I can get my child out of the Clayton county school system!!

READ THE WHOLE THING

Honestly, it's the worst place you would ever want your child to be. The only place you could get some respect is either you were in a caring teachers hand such as Mr. Ware, Mrs. Murchison, or Mrs. Taylor. Most of the administrators allow fights and I've never seen any other school that looks like a joke than this. If you don't believe me, take it from my 2 cousins and 1 brother who have been bullied multiple times. I, their oldest brother have reported it multiple time but it happens over and over again. And plus, most of the kids there have no respect for who you are. No offense but this school is mostly ghetto with no help for other students and 100% bullying. You think that most substitutes walk out the school happy, feeling that they did a good and nice job. But, guess again , kids there treat them just like garbage. If your becoming a substitute, I recommend this school to be your last choice if your desperate. However, there's only two classes you could get a nice day with, which are the Accelerated students and the HONORS student. But watch out, just because their in there keep your eye on them. Their fake on the inside and act all nice in the outside.

I can only speak for my experience. However, Clayton County Schools has failed my child. I have expressed my concerns to my child's teachers and counselors. That my child may have an undiagnosed learning disability. My child does well in class however, test taking and reading is not a strong suit. They all have dismissed my concerns and have not even attempted to help. I was told by my child's counselor that the school's psychologist will give me a call and it never happen. Now my child is in the 5th grade and is mandated to attend summer school and retake the GMAS. If my child does not do well on the test then my child will be retained in the 5th grade. I just received a phone call from the school saying that my child is on a "waitlist" I was told that "right now we have too many kids that are enrolled and she cannot attend as of yet." I received this call one day before summer school is to start. This terrible!!! Shame on Clayton County School Systems for not putting kids first!!! My family and I have rearranged our entire life ie work, rest and home life to support our child, just as any supportive family would do. This School System is not supportive or conducive to the educational success of their students. If you are moving from another location, locally, nationally or even abroad and the education of your children is important to you please do not come to Clayton County. I do not want to see another family going through what we have.

I just gave it one star because I have to select something. They deserve none.

The worst school district to have your kids in! And let’s not talk about the workers that they have answering the phone they need to take a customer service class cause they rude and feel entitled! Oh and let’s not talk about the supervisor in transportation who hung up in my face!!! Lack of communication
I don’t even know how she got that role cause clearly she’s not fit for it!!! Rockfalls county would have never pulled it…
