If you have home 8mm films to transfer there is no better place to go. Myron and his team did an awesome job on my grandfather's home movies over 10 years ago, and films that dated from the early 1960's looked like they could have been shot yesterday (except for the haircuts, clothes, and cars). What sets apart CinePost is their meticulous attention to detail including expert color correction, and their wet-gate process which eliminates the visibility of a good majority of scratches and marks on the film. I was VERY happy I took my home movie project to CinePost -- you will not find finer, more experienced people.

Had over an hour of super 8 and standard 8 home movies transferred by these gentlemen. I have only good things to say about my experience, from the customer service to the finished product. The quality of the transfer was so good, I actually noticed details on the files that I didn't observe when watching the film on a projector ( like the jewelry the people in the film were wearing for example). However, nothing is as priceless as picking up your device and watching a movie of your parents when they were younger than you!! How about watching a video of yourself on your iPhone of you when you were younger than your own children!! I at least, think that is insanely cool!

I first found CinePost when I found old VCR tapes that would play for a few minutes, but then the tapes stuck and they wouldn't even fast forward. They "cleaned" them and were able to transfer each of them into digital format. They did a fantastic job. Thank You

I will continue using them because I always find old tapes and film reels from the past that I want to save and not throw away. I know they can take care of them and do a gr8 job. Thanks for your help.

I had several thousand feet of std & super 8mm film I wanted transferred to digital files. Getting the best quality image was very important to me to I researched companies around the country.

After reading of reviews I decided on companies that use a "flying spot scanner". I then phone screened several. CinePost seemed extremely knowledgeable and was the most helpful and flexible on helping me get what I wanted.

The end result and experience working with them was great, so I've since given them 2 additional projects and referred at least 10 people to them.

To close, one time while at their office they were nice enough to let me see another project they were hired to do; restoration of the only film Bob Hope and Kathryn Hepburn made together (I believe for Turner Classic Movies). To me, this is another indication of the skill and excellent reputation they have within the industry.

The customer service is exceptional and the quality of work is outstanding.

I had over 1700 ft. of old 8mm home movie film that I wanted transferred to high definition video. Another transfer company attempted the work but failed. The resulting video was so filled with black scratches and blobs that it wasn't even watchable. I then looked up Cinepost and read about their wetgate process that would supposedly reduce the scratches. It really works. Frame by frame comparisons that I did myself are quite obvious to anyone. The new video shows my movies as good or better than they were originally.

With comparable, or even lower prices, to other premium transfer labs, Cinepost is definitely the way to go if you have old movies.
