I’ve photographed multiple sessions at Emily’s studio and it’s by far one of my favorites. The space is always so cute and decorated with such thought and care. The lighting is always perfect too! For as long as I live in CT, I will keep coming back and recommending her to clients and other photographers.

The owner was beyond accommodating for us. She went out of her way to make sure we had a time slot that gave us the best lighting opportunity for our photo session. The studio space was so clean, spacious, and fun! I loved coming in and knowing that there was multiple spots within the studio for photo opportunity and she even has a sound system with an iPad for you! I will absolutely be back again very soon.

THIS STUDIO IS GOLD! I've been a professional photographer for 14 years and this is hands down my favorite studio to shoot in. First, booking is extremely convenient through their website-- the owner, Emily is extremely responsive and so kind. The studio itself is always immaculate and the lighting is absolutely beautiful. The studio also offers many back drops and beautiful sitting options. I highly recommend this studio and it will be my go-to studio for my business.

Edited to say: I have no used the studio multiple times and most recently with a holiday set up and it’s magical! My clients love the studio and I am already booking for dates!

I have owned a photography business for 13 years and have moved across the United States (to 6 different states) with my business. I have used shared studio spaces quite a few times over my years in business and The Studio at the velvet mill is in the top two I’ve ever used! It was clean, beautiful, tons of options and very easy to book. I will be using this space again in the future and have already recommended it to other creators. -Olivia

This studio is absolutely stunning. The natural light is beautiful. The variety in the studio is wonderful! Emily is constantly working and adding new things but keeping the things we love most about her space. Not only is her style and studio absolutely amazing. She is super responsive, kind, and always willing and open to ideas. As a photographer I love renting this studio for my clients. They are all speechless when they walk in. There should be no hesitation in renting! The space is wonderful, there is a mini fridge with fresh beverages, music to play, and a space to create!

Being a natural light photographer makes shooting indoors scary sometimes. That was absolutely not the case at this studio. This studio was gorgeous and even made capturing the candid photos of a kiddo running around look beautiful (attached a candid for fun). I cannot recommend this studio enough and will 100% be shooting there again. The natural light coming in for my morning session was absolute perfection. Thank you for giving the Mystic area a gorgeous, easy to use studio ?

The studio was amazing. The natural light was wonderful and the staging of the furniture was very well done. So many different settings could be done in just that one studio. The Studio at Velvet Mill is honestly breathtaking. I booked the studio when Emily first started and the lighting was perfect. Being back at the studio again for a motherhood session was jaw-dropping. Emily really has put her heart and soul into transforming this studio into something so beautiful where photographers could create some magic with their clients.
