I’m leaving a one-star review, not because of the product, but because of the blatant disrespect and rudeness I encountered while quoting a project for your company. It’s almost laughable how the friendliness at trade shows disappears the moment you’re in a real business setting.

I agreed to quote this project as a favor to a contact on your production team, only to be treated with outright disdain by someone I’d met before at trade shows. The contrast was both shocking and disappointing, leaving a sour taste from the start.

To be blunt, I have no interest in doing business with a company that shows such a lack of respect for both their own employees and those attempting to assist them. The experience was enough to ensure I won’t be back.

It's been an absolute nightmare of an experience working with Hi-Rel. I ordered tooling and finished units for a Christmas product with a drop dead need date. I was quoted a single price for tooling delivered to Hi-Rel, inclusive of tariffs, shipping, etc. However, 3 month after placing my tooling order, my price was increased by 25% just as the tooling was about to ship and my 60% down payment would have been forfeit. Tooling was also received late. The first set of parts were not only delivered past my drop dead date, but I only received less than 3% of my order before they damaged my tool. Repair took 3 weeks, but not after they increased my part price by 30% from their quote! When I did receive my order, it was completely after all of my retail and wholesale customers required delivery, costing me an entire year worth of sales, and to make it worse my tool was "repaired" incorrectly and I received parts that were not to spec and did not function properly. Instead of taking any responsibility, I've had to hire a lawyer just to try to get the tooling and parts back that I've completely paid for which Hi-Rel is holding hostage in exchange for payment on the bad parts they produced and won't fix. The lack of integrity with this company and particularly the president is shocking.
