I don't know how or why Jim Miller has not posted information on the internet that he is no longer practicing accounting under the name of Miller Accountancy. He no longer has an office in Duarte. He has sold his business to a firm in Glendora and performing remaining obligations under this new firm's name. I think he is still completing some tax forms on a limited basis. Some customers have been apprised of this dramatic change, others are finding out the hard way. I surly wish he had elected to end his relationship with his clients in a different and more professional manner.

My elderly mother has done business with this firm since 2004, and specifically with the accountant Leonard Smith. Due to her age, and the passing of my dad, I helped take over her finances, which involved her tax issues. From commercial property my parents owned with another relative in the State of Indiana, it was later determined my family OVER PAID taxes in the amount of $50,000.00, which Leonard Smith handled. With that being said, a letter from the Indiana tax board was sent saying we were due a $50K refund. Did Leonard Smith ever tell my family about this refund NO. Did he act on submitting the necessary paperwork, NO. With that being said, I got involved. I telephoned Leonard Smith several times over the course of several months. He never once returned his emails I sent him, nor did he return my messages. All he had to do was submit a corrected form to the State of Indiana for the return and he never did it. On one phone conversation with Leonard Smith, it appeared he wasn't even listening to my questions, gave vague answers to questions not asked and appeared to be completely incompetent. I would never do business with this firm, and specifically with the accountant Leonard Smith.
