I trust Shannon with my yearly taxes and she always does a phenomenal job. Her receptionist is also very kind, patient, and communicative. The finished product is accurate, timely, and thorough.

On a minor note, I also love the inside of the office. The waiting room has a rustic, classy to it, with mounted wall art, leather furniture, and rolling barn-doors. (They also have *the best* pens for signing documents! Occasionally I get to keep one and I treasure them.) ?

We have been using tax acquisitions Inc. with Shannon Rubin at 333 S. Hopkins in Titusville Florida since we moved here in August 2014. For the 2023 tax year, I scheduled an appointment to go there and the staff was still the same, but Shannon has moved out of state and a young man by the name of Chris (I don’t know his last name) has taken over her client list. Our taxes are fairly straightforward. He made multiple mistakes, called me back twice, and had to file an amendment on our daughters very easy one page tax return. I was very frustrated. I do not feel that he’s very experienced and thought maybe with time he would improve, but I knew I was not coming back to him next year. June 10, 2024. I found another accountant and took my taxes from 22 and 23 in to be reviewed to establish an accountant for 2024 taxes. When she reviewed through my 2023 taxes, serious mistakes were made and I was taxed on almost $10,000 that I should not have been taxed on. I was also charged a $1000 early withdrawal fee for something I didn’t do - he marked it incorrectly. I tried calling the office and talking to him after I left the new accountant office as a learning experience, and he started literally whining and crying on the telephone. I was shocked. He told me I was being mean to him and rude to him. Apparently, when I was there last time, he saw me lift the middle finger when I was at the front counter. I did not know he saw that, but I do not care. I would’ve told him to his face. I was not coming back that he’s incompetent. When I asked him, how long has he been out of school? He said for a long time. I said I’m trying to help you realize that you’ve made a lot of mistakes that the new accountant and staff pointed out and now I’m having to file an amendment. He denied making those mistakes. He told me just to leave him alone and file my amendment and don’t bother him all the while he continued to whine and cry. My 20-year-old daughter heard a lot of this conversation. I asked him how old he was and through his whining and crying. He told me that he was 27 years old. How old was I? I told him I’m 61 years old and that he needs to grow up and be professional and grow a pair and that I was going to write a terrible review about him and let people know since he’s unwilling to listen to constructive criticism. So there it is if you do your taxes at tax acquisitions Inc. know that you’re paying for a service that is not being rendered to you and will be an entirely frustrating experience. Shannon was great, but the practice is not what it was now that she’s gone.

This is not the old Sunshine Accounting. Shannon is no longer there. The new owner never even introduced himself to us - I still have no idea who did my taxes. He did share that he and his Dad bought the business from Shannon. Paid a premium - did not receive a nice organized folder of all our tax documents (something Shannon used to always do). Also had to explain how to file some of our tax documents. We lack confidence that our stuff is even filed correctly. The office was incredibly disorganized (paper work of others thrown about and in piles) The new owner rolled in seconds before our appointment was to begin, wearing less than professional clothing. It was clear he had never even looked at our account prior to us being there in the room. When he was done entering our information he had us leave the office to get everything printed and signed in the waiting area - while the receptionist hacked a lung up. We will be finding another tax accountant next year.

Great service!! My accountant Chris was very quick and extremely helpful! I recommend all my friends and family to him. He was super kind and would respond to every text and call. You guys were great! I will definitely be using them in the future!!

Awesome experience with my taxes! Chris is very good and professional. He is always prompt and will answer my calls and text whenever I have any questions. Very happy with these guys and won’t be using anybody else for a long time!

Called to speak with Shannon and was told by someone named ‘Roberta’ that she was not available to speak with at all and that she wouldn’t be available to speak with anytime soon either. It’s incredibly frustrating that I had my taxes done by Shannon and had a question after the fact but am unable to get ahold of her. Roberta was very rude about my request and quickly got an attitude with me. I don’t think I was being unreasonable at all and I was taken by surprise by the tone of the phone call. My advice…get your taxes done somewhere else. The prices are sky high and the staff is very rude! I will be going somewhere else in Titusville or doing them myself from now on.

I have used Shannon for 12 years. She is awesome! She does a wonderful job and I have sent many customers her way. However, the older lady is rude and disrespectful and just a right out terrible person. The receptionist is very kind and helpful. I will not ever send anyone else that way if this lady is still dealing with people. I no longer will use her services either. Which is sad for Shannon because she is a beautiful, kind person herself and does a really good job. But when you ask to speak to her or have her return a call and this “older lady” says it’s not happening - there’s a problem. Be cautious to use them. I don’t know who this lady is however, when I went back in, me-still being kind and soft spoken she walked up and handed me the W2 and said Shannon won’t be doing your taxes. I did let her know before I left that she was a very rude individual! She should NOT be allowed to interact with any other human beings. Just saying!

I did my own on turbo tax and saved 250$ so there ya go!!! Win for me!!!

Just so that everyone is aware - the recent positive reviews for this company are all fake. It’s interesting how they were all posted within minutes of each other on the same day. Pay attention guys- go somewhere else for honesty. All they care about is having a good name for themselves out there. They don’t actually care about customer service or how well they represent you.
